Connect your AI
Let Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, Antigravity or another assistant read and work on your Foundation projects through our MCP server.
Foundation has an MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way AI assistants connect to outside tools. Once connected, your assistant can list your projects, fill in costs and revenue, run the calculations and read the results, all under your own account.
Server URL: https://getfndtn.com/api/mcp
You sign in with your normal Foundation account the first time your assistant connects. Your assistant only ever sees your own projects.
Set it up
In claude.ai or the Claude desktop app:
- Open Settings → Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Name it
Foundationand pastehttps://getfndtn.com/api/mcpas the URL. - Click Connect and sign in to Foundation in the window that opens.
Menu names in these apps change often. If a step above doesn't match what you see, look for "MCP", "connectors" or "custom tools" in your assistant's settings. The server URL stays the same.
Try it
Ask your assistant something like:
List my Foundation projects, then compute the feasibility of the newest one and tell me the three things that most affect whether it works.
You should see it call list_projects, then compute_feasibility.
What it can do
The server has tools to read projects, run the calculations (including what-if tests that change nothing), and update each part of a project. The full list, with every parameter, is in the MCP reference.
A few ground rules the server enforces:
- It only works on your own projects.
- Deleting a project needs its own tool call, and assistants are told to confirm with you first.
- Unknown field names are rejected, so a typo can't quietly turn a cost into zero.
For the best results, pair the connection with our skills. They teach your assistant the method a feasibility consultant uses.
