Changelog

What's new in Foundation.

September 2026

  • Business plans as Word files. Generated plans are saved on your project as a formatted .docx, with a cover, contents and tables from your study. Download them again any time.
  • Docs. This site.
  • Business plan drafts now follow the same structure and writing rules as our business plan skill. Every figure comes from your study, and drafts run on a low-cost model with better writing quality.
  • Privacy and cookies. New privacy policy, cookie policy with settings, and terms of use. Foundation sets only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember your choice.
  • Market Size. A new step for TAM, SAM and SOM, each with how it was calculated and a source. It warns you if your first-year revenue is larger than the market you expect to win.
  • Competitor Benchmark. A new step: list competitors and the features customers compare on, and tick who offers what.
  • Import a project file. Load a foundation-project.json from one of our skills as a new project.
  • Foundation Skills. Five open-source skills for your AI assistant: feasibility analyst, market research, pricing, business plan and pitch deck. On GitHub.
  • MCP improvements. New tools to look up category columns, save market sizing and the competitor benchmark, and test different prices or costs without saving them.
  • Scenario Planning. Worst, base and best cases side by side.
  • SaaS metrics for subscription businesses: LTV, CAC, LTV:CAC, CAC payback, burn multiple, Rule of 40 and runway.
